Child protection and safeguarding adults at risk policy

The Church recognises that adults, children and young people are at risk of abuse and neglect. Accordingly, the Church has adopted the policy contained in this document (hereafter the Child Protection and Safeguarding Adults at Risk Policy). This policy sets out agreed guidelines relating to the following areas:

 

  • Responding appropriately and lawfully to allegations of abuse, including those made against the leaders or members of The Church.

  • Appointing Children and Youth Workers who will undertake a DBS check and receive appropriate and relevant training to educate them on the issues children and young people are faced with in the Church’s geographical area.

  • Appropriate supervision of activities and practical issues.

  • Supporting victims of abuse, and;

  • Working with offenders.
